Mr. Lamb's Weekly Assignments

Week of September 8 - 11

Language Arts (Blocks 1 & 2):
--Students completed a Weekly Word Study and took a spelling test.
--We studied elements of writing. Students acted out one of the elements in groups.
--I read several examples of memoir out loud to the class.
--Students brainstormed topics for their own memoirs.
--Students should now be drafting their own memoirs. They should work for a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes each night.

Sim-Nation:
--Students participated in a simulation of the trial of Anne Hutchinson.
--Students took a quiz on early American history.
--I gave notes on events leading to the American Revolution.
--We watched part of the History Channel series called Revolution.
--Next Thursday, Sept. 17 will be ADI #1. We will be going to visit a courtroom in the City and County Building in Denver and have a judge speak to us about the court system. We will leave around 10:30 and be back no later than 2:30. Please email me if you want to come along.

Co-op:
--Fall Trip forms are due by Sept. 24 or 25.
