Work for week of September 14 - 17, 2009
Monday - ANNOUNCEMENT: Unit Test is next week on Tuesday Sept 22, study should focus on sample problems in comp book with a focus on relationship between variables shown on graphs, tables, and equations, start class with openers, start problem 3.3 - focus on completion of data table by analyzing pattern of numbers, homework for tonight is #4 - 8 p 56 - 57
Tuesday - review homework, finish problem 3.3 by making equations to match data table, homework for tonight is #9 - 16 p 57
Wednesday - review homework and make bundles, do #48 p 62, no homework tonight
Thursday - ADI #1 therefore no math class
Friday - professional development day therefore no math class

Monday - earth, moon, sun teaching groups - final questions and make sure all packets are complete/accurate, all class review with power point, students take notes, draw/label diagram which brings earth, moon, sun system together, study time at end of class for QUIZ COMING UP THIS WEDNESDAY!!
Tuesday - super cool Features of the Sun activity - focus on terms for each feature, drawing detailed pictures and labeling accurately, GUEST SPEAKER - amateur astronomer Andrew Planck - he has a fantastic slideshow and activities to engage students in his passion for astronomy
Wednesday - earth, moon, sun system quiz, trade and grade in class, make MOON JOURNALS and explain requirements, students will be observing the moon/night sky each night and drawing and taking notes on observations.
Thursday - ADI #1, bus pick up at 10:30, IMAX "River at Risk" with a focus on the Grand Canyon, back to school at 2pm for long term project related activities
Friday - professional development therefore no science today
