Hi, I am Mary Parrish, the attendance and guidance secretary at Arapahoe Ridge.
Funny, the picture above looks a lot like my mom, however, you will find me in the front office, I am tall, thin, and tan. Very different from the picture above.
I hail from the Midwest, Tulsa to be exact. Moved to the east coast where I lived for over 20 years. I lived on Long Island for a while and worked in Manhattan for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company. I then moved to upstate New York and Vermont where I worked for Hemmings Motor News in Bennington, VT and then ventured into education working as a special education para with students from 1st through grade 12. I met my husband after moving to upstate New York and we have one son who is a terrific kid, if I do say so myself. J
Besides my family and friends, who are most dear to my heart, my hobbies are gardening, antiquing, fishing, canoeing and most important, at least to my son, baseball and karate mom!
I thoroughly enjoy working at Arapahoe Ridge High School. The students here are totally awesome! I love talking with them, where being the attendance and guidance secretary, I have the pleasure of doing all day long!
I look forward to meeting each and every student and their parents. Parents, when you have a chance, stop by the office and introduce yourselves, I speak with so many of you on the phone, and I would love to put a face with a voice when ever possible!
