Newcomer Pathways Program

This program provides intensive English immersion in morning and afternoon sessions, and was developed to respond to the growing number of immigrant and refugee youth who need intensive English instruction prior to their participation in BVSD high schools.

The program focuses its effort in the areas of English Language Acquisition, remediation of academic deficiencies, and preparation for transfer into a regular high school setting. Students remain in the program from one semester to one year. Students are enrolled as full time ARHS students and may extend their program of study to include Ridge or TEC.
