Biography: Brett Livingston, Principal
"I am especially excited to be starting my first year here at Aspen Creek K-8. I bring with me 22 years of experience in education that spans Pre-K through 8th grade. I have teaching experience K-5 which came at the beginning of my career. Over the last 13 years I have been an Elementary Assistant Principal, Elementary Principal, Middle Level Assistant Principal, and over the last 3 years a Middle Level Principal. All of my experience came in Mesa County in Grand Junction, Colorado on the Western Slope. I have two children; one daughter age 20 and a son almost age 22. They remain in Grand Junction going to school and working. I am married and have a very supportive wife, Kim. She is working at Heatherwood Elementary in Boulder as a Speech Language Pathologist. We have a townhome here in Broomfield and are excited to be a part of the Broomfield community."
Coyote Pride
Positive; Responsible; Inclusive; Dependable; Engaged
The Aspen Creek community has been working hard on showing our Coyote PRIDE this year. When adults in the building "catch" a child showing PRIDE qualities, the student is rewarded with a PRIDE paw (elementary level) or PRIDE pack ticket (middle level). The students put the tickets in a box in the main office and are eligible for receiving a prize. Every other week, five middle level tickets and five elementary tickets are drawn. Students are recognized during the morning announcements and get to pick a prize. We hope you'll join us and support the PRIDE behaviors at home as well as at school.
Student Pick-up and Drop Off
Please exercise patience and courtesy, and help us keep traffic moving by parking only in designated parking spots. Use the circles in both the front and the back as pick-up/drop-off lanes only and please don't park or stand in these areas. If you are picking up a student, we ask that you meet your student at the outside door of the classroom or outside the front doors. If we become too comfortable to seeing large numbers of adults in our building, it becomes easy for strangers to slip by unnoticed.
