Information about 2nd Grade

LuAnne Gourley:
I have been teaching for more than 23 years. I enjoy teaching 2nd grade. I've been teaching at Aspen Creek for 7 years. I got my education and my degree at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley- masters of arts in elementary education. I chose to become a teacher because I've always liked kids! My mom was also a wonderful music teacher. I wanted to be as good at teaching- just not music. My favorite quote is, "I touch the future, I teach!" By Christina McAuliffe. I’ve also taught grades K-3. I have taught classes from about 16 kids to as big as 31. I have had children whose parents I went to high school with.

Anita Lehrer:
I have been teaching for 23 years and the last 4 at Aspen Creek.  I rececied my bachelors degree plus graduate courses at University of Northern Colorardo.  I chose to become a teacher because I love the children, their kindness and it makes me happy to see them learn so much in a year. My favorite quote is, a long poem by Mother Teresa called Anyway. In summary it's about doing the right thing no matter what.
