Following the completion of our in-depth and deliberate interview process, BVSD administration has decided that is in the best interest of the school and the community to reopen the position at this time.
The principal position will be reposted this week with a broadened outreach to attract quality candidates. The interviews are scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2008, and the original interview screening committee will be invited to represent the school. The Community Forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, June 3, at Aspen Creek K-8.
The goal of the district is to find the right person to lead your school, one who will meet the high expectations you have for your students, staff and school community. Thank you for your support and your understanding as we move forward in this important selection process.

Coyote Pride
Positive; Responsible; Inclusive; Dependable; Engaged
The Aspen Creek community has been working hard on showing our Coyote PRIDE this year. When adults in the building "catch" a child showing PRIDE qualities, the student is rewarded with a PRIDE paw (elementary level) or PRIDE pack ticket (middle level). The students put the tickets in a box in the main office and are eligible for receiving a prize. Every other week, five middle level tickets and five elementary tickets are drawn. Students are recognized during the morning announcements and get to pick a prize. We hope you'll join us and support the PRIDE behaviors at home as well as at school.
Student Pick-up and Drop Off
Please exercise patience and courtesy, and help us keep traffic moving by parking only in designated parking spots. Use the circles in both the front and the back as pick-up/drop-off lanes only and please don't park or stand in these areas. If you are picking up a student, we ask that you meet your student at the outside door of the classroom or outside the front doors. If we become too comfortable to seeing large numbers of adults in our building, it becomes easy for strangers to slip by unnoticed.
