The Tradition
The Boulder High Girls' Cross Country teams have qualified for the State Championship every year of the sport's existence, except in 1992 and 2002. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s the team has finished second place at the State Meet six different times.
In the past fifteen years the Boulder High Boys' Cross Country teams have qualified for the State Championship all but two times.

Announcements:
Week of August 25
Hello Parents/Guardians,
It was another great week with your kids. Yesterday culminated two good weeks of work, and it was great to see how kids performed. As is our style; hard work is followed with good play, so our thanks go out to the Lacey's and the Raderstorf's for hosting the team breakfast.
Below is the highlights of the week, but notice on Wednesday we all meet at the race course. Friday, we host that meet so if you volunteered to help please meet us there by 3:30 p.m. Also, we only reserved one bus to this meet (since it is in town), and rely on many kids to drive themselves or have a parent give them a ride. Our bus costs are so high, this is one way to try and save a little. The Labor Day weekend is free of organized practice, but you can see what we ask kids to do, so they continue on their path of improvement.
Thanks for all your support this week,
Monique

Program overview
Cross Country is a terrific sport for people of all abilities. It is a no-cut sport where some people get to showcase their terrific running talent, while others may use the season to get in shape for another sport or to connect with a great group of people. The coaches will be committed to creating workouts and an atmosphere where the goals of all the athletes are met. Workouts will be individualized based on fitness level, caliber of racing, previous running experience, and goals for the season. Every year the cross-country team is composed of students who tend to have high grades, participate in a broad array of extra-curricular activities, and invest in both their sport and the people on the team. Boulder High has an illustrious tradition of producing some of the best distance runners in the state.
