Weekly Freshman Program Notes:

Freshmen Orientation Day

WHEN IS IT?  August 18, 2009 from 7:45 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

WHERE IS IT?  Boulder High School. Meet near the Senior parking lot. Due to the construction going on at BHS this could change. Please watch for signs and check this site again just prior to Orientation Day.

WHY SHOULD I GO?  It is required for freshmen and attendance will be taken

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?  Only freshmen, Pride leaders and teachers will be at school. In the morning, you will be doing activities to meet your Pride leaders, getting to know new people and you will get some tips on how to succeed in high school. Lunch will be provided for you. In the afternoon, you will go to your classes for about 10 minutes each. Your teachers will take roll (attendance) and tell you if you need to buy any other materials for their class. (Don't be afraid to ask the teachers questions about their class if you have any.)

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?  Comfortable clothes because you will be doing some activities that require you to run around, etc.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?  A pen or pencil, paper to put in your pocket in case you need to write something down for your classes and your schedule. If you don't' already have your schedule, go to BHS and pick it up before the 24th.

WHAT SHOULD I NOT BRING?  Do not bring a lunch because it will be provided for you. Do not bring a backpack, purse or other items because there will be nowhere to put them.

SHOULD I BE SCARED?  You should definitely NOT be scared. Orientation Day will be fun. The teachers and Pride leaders are fun, exciting people. You will have a great time.
