Online Registration/Course Selection

Boulder High School uses an automated online system called Infinite Campus to do course selection.
This page is intended to guide you through the steps of selecting courses using Infinite Campus.

How to obtain an Infinite Campus password

Students are given an Infinite Campus username and password when they enroll.

If you are an incoming 9th grader from a BVSD Middle School and already have a password:
• Your password will work with Boulder High.

If you are new to the Boulder Valley School District and have never received a password:
• You will need to complete a Course Request Worksheet pdf and drop it by the BHS Counseling Office or mail it to us.

If you cannot remember your password or if your account has become disabled:
• See Mrs. Goodman in the Counseling Office.

Step 1: Getting started

  • Open the Infinite Campus Student Portal.
  • Type in your user name (firstname.lastname) and password then click Log In.

  • Click on registration in the user outline.

  • The Registration portal will be open from February 21 through 3:00 PM, March 14.

Step 2: Search for courses

  • Required Courses appear in the Required Course Section.
  • To search for a course you want to request, click Course Search from the navigation bar.

  • Enter a Course Name or Course Number and click Go.

    • For Course Name: You must either enter the course name exactly or use a word that is in the course name (i.e. algebra, lit, lang, science, physical).
    • Many find it easiest to leave the course name blank and simply enter the course number. Course numbers can be found in the Course Descriptions Booklet PDF.
    • IMPORTANT NOTE: For any year-long course you must request each semester seperately. This is done by adding an "A" then a "B" after the course number (i.e. for Freshman Language arts you need to request L08A and L08B).
  • Results will be listed on the right.

Step 3: Selecting your courses:

  • To add a course, click on the course name.
  • A course description as well as options to request this course will appear.

  • Select Request this Course or Request as an Alternate.
  • The course will now be added to the Requested Courses list.

    (NOTE: Remember to add the B course if it is a year-long class)
  • The Units keep track of the number of courses a student has requested.

  • Once a you have added the maximum amount of units, all additional course requests automatically become alternate courses.

Step 4: Selecting alternate courses

  • Select alternate courses in order of preference.
  • Choose a minimum of 6 courses.

Step 5: Final steps

  • To review what you have selected, click on Print Request Summary.

  • Click on the Print button to print the summary, click on the Save button to save it.

How to Drop a Course Request:

  • From the Online Student Registration window, click on a class you wish to remove.

  • Click the Drop This Request button.
    Step 6b
  • The course is now removed from the Requested Course or Alternate Course lists.

Reminders:

  • You can only request a course once. (No duplications)
  • Alternates should be selected in order of preference.
  • Students may log in and make changes until 3:00 PM on March 14, 2008.
