Who Designed and Built the Walk Through Time?

Students designed and constructed this 600-ft. loop path that is a scale model of the most recent 600 million years of geologic time. Located on Broomfield open space, our Walk Through Time is the work of eighth grade students at Broomfield Heights Middle School, Broomfield High School Band members as part of their community service project, and other interested Broomfield High School students.

Beginning in 1998, over 1000 students from Broomfield Heights and Broomfield High School worked to create this outdoor science museum that can be used by Broomfield school and the community at large. Instead of simply reading about geologic history, students and the community have a 3-dimensional interactive exhibit to learn about our rich geologic past.
