The Analemmatic Sundial Project

Clouds threaten an afternoon storm as everyone hurries to start the dedication ceremony.
Speakers explain and dedicate the Analemmatic Sundial
Mrs. Chady thanks everyone involved.
To use the Analemmatic Sundial, stand straddling (one foot on each side) of the center line. Your feet should be on the appropriate month and as close to the day of the month as possible --
--then, hold your clasped hands above your head. The shadow of your clasped hands will fall on the time marked in an arc on the ground in front of you. (Mountain Standard Time).
Balloons are launched from the sundial site. You can see part of the Walk Through Time path in the background.
Only a small patch of blue sky peeks through the gray storm clouds as the Analemmatic Sundial dedication ceremony draws to a close.
Students practice telling time after the Sundial dedication during A Walk Through Time open house.
