Luna Moth

I bet you thought that nothing ate Poison Ivy! But guess what? A Luna Moth has to feed on it when it is a larva. This species of Luna Moth is called Argema Mittrei. Males have tails up to eight inches long. It lives on the island of Madagascar. Unlike other creatures a Luna Moth does not eat once it becomes an adult moth. Did you know that Luna is a Latin word for moon? The American Luna lives throughout the eastern half of the United States. Some people keep these moths as pets.

I got information from BUTTERFLIES AND MOTHS.
