Tent Caterpillars are Small

By Rolin C.

Tent caterpillars lay 200-300 eggs! On a sunny spring day the eggs start to hatch. When they hatch they do not start eating. They start building a nest where two branches come together. After that the caterpillars eat their shells. When they drop from the ground they jump like bungee jumpers. After that they get hungry. Do know what they eat? They eat leaves because they taste tastey. They eat in the morning and afternoon. Soon they will get bigger and wrap in a chrysalis. After that, you know, it will turn into a moth.

I got my information from CREEPY, CRAWLY CATERPILLARS.
