Where in the World is the CHICKEN?!!!

You’ll notice a rubber chicken in your goody bag—here’s a Where in the World summer fun edition that follows “the chicken” on its vacation adventures! Have a great summer!

1.  Chicken wants to see his own kinds, so he goes to one of two states that produces the most chickens (hint starts with an “A”). Where in the US is chicken?    Georgia or Arkansas, depending on which year

2.  Chicken found out that “produces” means kills, sells, and eats. He wants to leave this state. He decides that he wants to boogie out-a-there fast and go visit the Golden Spike National Monument. Which state did he end up in?    Utah      

3.  Chicken is worried about not getting his shots for H5N1 bird flu. Which 3 Asian countries do you recommend he avoid?     Vietnam, Thailand and China      

4.  Chicken is still looking for his roots. He wants to try Chicken Kiev. Where is Kiev? Where was Chicken Kiev invented?     Ukraine, France      

5.  The Bantam of the Opera: Which European city is famous for its opera houses?     Vienna (Wien)      

6.  Chicken is going from Palermo (Sicilian Chicken) to Naples (Chicken Napoli). What body of water must he cross?     Tyrrhenian Sea of the Straits of Messina      

7.  Chicken needs to get from Italy to Germany (possibly for a hamburger). How many countries border both Italy and Germany?     3:  Australia, Switzerland, and France      

8.  Chicken has learned that Turkey is a white-meat alternative to chicken. What is the highest point in Turkey?    Mt.  Ararat (5165 meters)        

9.  Chicken thinks that maybe he should do more sharing with Turkey. What island does Turkey share with Greece (not grease)?     Cyprus      

10.  Chicken is traveling to India because he’s learned that they worship animals there. How many countries does India share a land border with?     6:  Pakistan, China, Nepal, Burma, Bhutan, and Bangladesh      

11. Chicken is traveling through the Kalahari Desert, not wanting to become fried chicken, he needs water. In which country will he find the Orange River?     S. Africa or Namibia
