Bobcat by David, Age 9

The mountains look great with snow as the bobcat preys on large ground birds, hares and rabbits. It hides and in a few minutes it attacks the animal swiftly killing it with a bite to the neck or throat. The bobcat walks up to a female bobcat and stretches its 2-4 feet body and a short tail of 3 1/2 to 8 inches. A bobcat is a mammal with an extremely short tail. It rests in caves and hollows and also has spots on its back like a leopard. Bobcats also avoid open, treeless grassland. They live in mountainous regions and in cactus thickets. I hope you had fun learning this.

I got my information from WILDLIFE OF THE WORLD published by Marshall Cavendish.
