Many of the wonderful activities teachers are able to do with their classes would not be possible without the financial help of the Creekside community. There are a number of ways you can help through both ongoing and seasonal fundraisers within the school and with local businesses.
- Scholastic Book Fair: Scholastic books are on sale in the library during the week of fall Parent Teacher conferences. Proceeds directly benefit the library.
- KidzArt: Transform your child's artwork into greeting cards, journals, and calendars. Creekside's Art teacher will send information home in October so orders will be filled in time for holiday gift giving. Proceeds from KidzAart sales are used specifically to support the art program and provide art supplies for all students.
- Read-a-Thon: The Read-a-Thon occurs in early spring. There are both in-school and out-of-school events and all proceeds go to purchasing books and literacy supplies for the school. The focus is not on prizes but on fostering a love of reading in all our students.
- Spaghetti Dinner: The fifth graders hold this annual event in April to pay it forward and raise money for next year's Outdoor Education trip. Watch for advertisements in the spring.
The following businesses will donate a portion of your sale amount directly to the school. The amount varies by business and costs you nothing. Typically, all you have to do is ask the cashier to direct that donation to Creekside and the school benefits immediately.
- OfficeDepot: Buy your school and office supplies and tell your cashier to give credit to Creekside Elementary. Office Depot will credit 5% of your purchase to Creekside teachers' purchases.
- Target: One percent (1%) of your expenditures at Target goes to Creekside when you use a Target credit card.
- Albertson's and Safeway: Register for Creekside to receive a donation every time you use your discount card at these grocery stores.
- Grand Rabbit's Toy Shoppe and Play Fair Toys: Tell the clerk you want our school to accrue credit before youcomplete any transaction at the store.
- Box Tops for Education: Clip box tops from participating General Mills products and drop them off in the collection bin in the front hallway of the school. Creekside gets $0.10 for each box top to help support our school's music program.
School budgets are tight and Creekside needs our help. Thanks to everyone who supports our school whether with time, money, supplies, or all of the above!
