Teaching Experience

I began teaching a 5/6 combination class at Ohlone Alternative School in Palo Alto, CA. Later I moved to a more traditional school, Walter B. Hayes, also in Palo Alto, to teach sixth grade. I have also taught Chapter 1 Reading and third grade on the western slope of Colorado (Norwood). After receiving my Master's degree at the University of Colorado, I began teaching Kindergarten at Crest View Elementary in 1991. I also taught third grade and I am currently teaching fourth grade.

Personal Note

My personal passion is introducing Shakespeare to elementary students and I have created a variety of activities that I use in my classroom. Our culminating activity each year is a Shakespeare play.
