Teaching Experience
I have taught for 20 years. I began my teaching career in the small farm town of Eaton where I taught Title I Reading for 3 years. In 1989 we moved to northern California just in time to experience the San Francisco earthquake! Being a Boulder native, we returned to this area where I have been teaching ever since. I have taught at Aurora 7, Kohl, and now Crest View Elementary Schools. While I had been teaching 3rd grade for the past couple of years, I am very happy to be back at the 5th grade level working with a wonderful team and an incredible group of students!! I thoroughly
enjoy teaching and look forward to each new year!
The staff and students at Crest
View are exceptional! I have high standards and expectations for the kids
I teach, and their enthusiasm for learning is contagious! They keep a smile
on my face every day! I am truly privileged to teach in this community!
Personal Note
I am a native of Boulder, Colorado, although I lived in Kathmandu, Nepal for 2 1/2 years during my high school years. I currently live in Longmont with my husband, 2 kids, and a dog who keep my busy when I am not at school! In my spare time I enjoy reading, relaxing, and spending a day on the beach when I get a chance!!
I am very lucky to have a job that I enjoy so much. I look forward to each
new year, and have many students who come back to visit--even when they reach
high school! It is a true privilege to be a part of so many lives!
