Teaching Experience
My teaching career began in Massapequa
N.Y. after graduation. After spending two years on Long Island, teaching
music in grades 4-6, I applied to graduate school at C.U. here in Boulder
and "emigrated". After completing some graduate work during that
summer, I began substituting in Boulder Schools the following fall. My first
position was at Emerald Elementary, which I held for 8 years. I have been
in my present position here at Crest View for 24 years, this being my 25th
year. I love teaching all the grade levels - the younger children are delightful
and eager to learn, and the older children are knowledgable and competent.
I like the fact that my "job" changes "hourly", as when
one class leaves, a new one comes to take its place. Every day is a new experience
- it's never the same!
Personal Note
I am married, with 23 yr. old twin daughters, a 15 yr. old step-daughter, one husband and one full time Schipperke dog!
