Teaching Experience
Although I was born and raised in the wonderful state of Michigan,
my first experience in the field of education was as a day camp director in
Evanston, Illinois. I then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where I began teaching
preschool. At this point, I realized I loved working with children and began
attending the University of Utah to major in elementary education. Finally,
settling in Boulder, I received both my BA and MA at the University of Colorado,
and began teaching in Boulder Valley.
Personal Note
Besides teaching fourth grade, I enjoy rock & ice climbing, skiing, snowboarding, dancing, and traveling. I have a 20 year-old daughter who sings, writes music, and attends college, hoping to be a bilingual teacher. My husband works as a computer consultant and once in awhile makes a guest appearance as a speaker and volunteer in my classroom. We're all living in the beautiful town of Niwot, enjoying life and all of its joys.
