Lady Knight Coaching Staff

Rod Beauchamp (Varsity and Head Coach)
Coach Beauchamp begins his eighth season as the varsity coach. In the previous seven seasons, Coach Beauchamp's teams have won the Centennial League Championship (04-05) and two All-State Academic Team Championships (04-05 & 05-06).

Favorite Quote:
"Don't say hello when it's time to say goodbye."

Memorable Moments:
Over the past 7 seasons, I have been fortunate to have had so many phenomenal young ladies to coach and with whom I've developed lasting relationships. There have been to many memorable wins to list, however, seeing the pure joy on the players faces against Boulder and Mullen definitely stand out. Additionally, the end of season banquets, card games, tennis matches, and football on the beech are very memorable. For every player who has ever put on a Fairview jersey, thank you for your hard work, commitment, sense of humor and mostly for making the basketball program the best it can be.

Dave Becker (Junior Varsity)
This is Coach Becker's second year with the Junior Varsity. Over the previous six seasons he coached the Lady Knights Sophomore team, which won two Centennial League tournament championships.

Favorite Quote:
“Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” – John Wooden
"To lead the people, walk behind them." Lao Tzu

Memorable Moments:
Meeting the girls as incoming ninth graders and witnessing their progress over the course of their four years at Fairview.
Coach Carpenter's Napoleon Dynamite act at the Kick-off Dinner.
Celebrating with the sophomore team after winning the Centennial League Tournament.

Chelsea Moore (Sophomore)
Coach Moore was a member of the Fairview varsity basketball team three years and ended her career as a captain and valuable member of the 2004-05 Centennial League championship team. Currently she is a sophomore at the University of Colorado and will be assisting with both the JV and Varsity teams.

Jim Carpenter (Freshman)
Coach Carpenter will be beginning his 12th season as the 9th grade
girls' basketball coach, and has an overall record of 131-69. His teams
won two Centennial League championships, but he is most proud of how the players he has coached continue to mature into exceptional young women during their time at Fairview and beyond.  He is particularly excited about the challenge of moving to the Front Range League and about exploring new food options around our new opponents' schools.

Favorite Quote:
"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." -Albus Dumbledore

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the power to turn someone's life around." -Leo Buscaglia

Favorite Saying:
"The most important decision you have to make (in basketball or in life) is the next one."

Memorable Moments:
My most memorable moments are always at the end of the season when we're able to look back as a team and celebrate what we've accomplished and how we've grown together--I remember each of those celebrations vividly. My most memorable game is beating Mullen in the tournament finals in 2005, when this year’s seniors were 9th graders. I will never forget the looks of joy and accomplishment on the faces of each member of our team, and those young women have continued to be a wonderful support and encouragement to me during their time at Fairview.
