Tryout Information
The Fairview wrestling coaching staff believes in a fair system of tryouts for each athlete. We require that each athlete be within five pounds of the desired weight class. At the start of each season we hold a single-elimination tryout at every weight class by a certified official.
Once the season begins the varsity starter must only win once against a challenger while the challenger must win two straight. All challenges end three weeks prior to the regional tournament.
