K-Care

The Boulder Valley School District Community School Program offers a fee-based program called K-CARE, a half day experience for kindergarten students. (This is in addition to the regular Kindergarten class time.)
Interested parents may contact the school office prior to the beginning of school.  Monthly tuition is $300 for 5 days, $200 for 3 days and $150 for 2 days.  The monthly billing will be sent from the Community Schools office.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

K-CARE provides high quality, developmentally appropriate, licenced, on-site childcare in a safe nurturing environment.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The program reflects the philosophy and character of the school community and is consistent with the guidelines of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.  K-CARE recognises that play is the primary learning medium of childhood, and age appropriate, appealing activities are provided to support the whole child's growth and development.  K-CARE offers the children experiences such as creative dramatics, art and music, science exploration, building and construction activities, cooking, motor skill development, varied literature experiences, and opportunities to learn and practice social skills.  The program includes a balance of active and quiet activities as well as structured and unstructured projects.
