Dear Flatirons Parents and Students,

This handbook is the result of the School Improvement Team's effort to provide you with a detailed explanation of some of the procedures and policies influencing our school.

There are many other ways that we tell you about how the school operates.  Each family receives a Student's Rights and Responsibilities Handbook from the School District in the fall.  Flatirons teachers provide students and families with a Friday Folder, and there is a schoolwide newsletter every other week.  Report cards are sent home three times a year and are used as part of the conversations at Parent/Student/Teacher conferences in November and March.  There is an hour long Open House on the day before school begins in August and Back to School Nights are held in September.
