BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

The YMCA of Boulder offers before and after childcare programs for students at Flatirons if there is sufficient demand.  Space will be found at another school if the demand at Flatirons is not sufficient to warrent before school childcare at the school.  Morning programs are available as early as 6:45 a.m. and continue until the beginning of the school day.  After school programs begin at the end of the school day and continue until 6:00 p.m.  Parents may choose morning only, afternoon only, or both.  Flexible drop in is also an option.  During inservice days or school holidays Flatirons YMCA offers full day child care from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  More specific program information about the whole program and enrollment information may be obtained from the YMCA at 303-442-2778 or from the coordinator for the Flatirons YMCA at 303-443-4474 X354.  If you must drop off your child early or cannot pick up your child on time, please check into the childcare provided by the YMCA, their number at Flatirons is 303-443-4474 X354.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Choir:   Choir is offered to those students who are nine years old or older.  They may join any time after their ninth birthday.  Programs are presented to students and the school community throughout the school year.  Practice is in the morning before school.
Intramural Sports:   Intramural sports are offered throughout the year.  These activities take place during the lunch recess period and after school.
Elementary Spanish:   Elementry Spanish is sometimes offered as a before or after school class. Information would be found on the Community notice board, which is on the Flatirons wall opposite the office.
