TALENTED AND GIFTED/ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

The Talented and Gifted/Enrichment program is based on the Enrichment Triad Model developed by Joseph Renzuli.  This model offers exposure to a variety of new experiences as well as a training in the cognitive and affective processes for all children.  In addition, the program provides a methodology for meeting the needs of children demonstrating talented or gifted behavior as they display heightened interest in a topic, an area of study, or an unusually creative idea that they wish to pursue on an advanced level of investigation with a commitment to the development of an authentic product.

The figure below illustrates Types I, II and III Enrichment Activities. The activities serve as a catalyst to one another: I and II, I and III, and II and III.
