Kindergarten
KINDERGARTEN AM-PM CLASSES
The kindergarten students attend class for half of the school day. The morning class is from 8:15 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. The afternoon class is from 12:00 to 2:50 p.m. If a request is made to the school office at registration, all attempts will be made to place the student in the session that is most helpful to the parent's schedule. Students participating in K-CARE will be placed in the appropriate kindergarten class. There will be no mid-day busing of kindergarten students.
KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION
Kindergarten orientation will probably be held in January, but possibly in November, at the time of open enrollment. This is an information night for parents and their incoming kindergartener.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTNERS
Letting go can be hard, but don't let your doubts or nervousness dampen your child's enthusiasm. If you have a positive attitude and look forward to the first day of school, your child will probably do the same. The students are asked to arrive at school prior to the starting time for their class, and to line up on the sidewalk outside the door on the east side of the building. The teacher will take the children inside at the appropriate time. Parents are asked to say their good-byes outside. The children may be picked up after class at the entrance of the school, near the classroom door.
