RECESS

Children are expected to dress appropriately for school.  Please be aware of our changeable weather and prepare children accordingly.  Recess is canceled only when the wind is strong enough to lift the dust, the chill factor makes it unbearable to be outside, or it is raining.  We recognize and take care of the very few exceptions to this rule, but do not feel comfortable when we are told a child cannot go out because "he/she is sick." Children who cannot participate in all phases of the school program should in most cases, be kept home until the illness has passed.   Students are to take all articles needed during recess time with them when they are dismissed.  They are not permitted to come back into the building during recess unless they have permission.
