This page contains information about Ungraded Primary activities at Heatherwood.  For the 2006-7 school year, there are two ungraded primary classes at Heatherwood; each class contains both first and second grade students. The teachers are Ms. Chavez and Mrs. Jenkins. Ungraded primary is where students first see "No Excuse" spelling words. This is a list that builds as students progress through Heatherwood. Homework in ungraded primary is expected to take 10 to 30 minutes a school day, with reading at home of about 15 minutes a day. Mathematics and Social Studies and Science all progress through a series of topics, each lasting a few weeks. Mathematics topics are the same for all the ungraded primary classes:
