Meals are $2.25/meal (including milk). Reduced lunch price is 25¢. Students bringing their own lunch can purchase milk for 50 cents, soy milk for $1.00, or orange juice for 50 cents. Students may bring their own drink except for canned pop, which is prohibited. Note that there are not staff or facilities to warm up food brought from home. Students having hot lunch on a regular basis should prepay for any number of lunches desired. Please make checks out to BVSD (Boulder Valley School District). Note the name and, ideally, the number assigned to your child by the cafeteria on the check. Payment is turned in to the classroom teacher at the beginning of the day. Student's hands are stamped when there is only one lunch remaining on their account. If you would like to pay for your student's lunch with a charge card, please contact the accounting department at the Boulder Valley School District Education Center, 303-447-5138. The lunch menu for the month is available on the BVSD Lunch Menu web page. We now have a Heatherwood Lunch Page with our manager's choices. There are two entrées served each day. One is the listed entrée from the published menu, and the second, offered in line, is a manager's choice. For example, students might be offered either Teriyaki Beef Strips (published entrée) or Chicken Nuggets (manager's choice). The manager's choice is usually on the menu that comes home with the Husky Highlights. Parents are always welcome to eat lunch with their students. The cost of an adult meal is $3.25 and includes 1% milk. Ala carte milk is forty cents or orange juice is fifty cents. Please send a note in with your child to order a lunch for you, or call the school before 9:15 a.m. It is a special treat for the children to have mom or dad come to school for lunch. Please let the cafeteria staff know about any food or milk allergies. Note that Silk Soymilk is now available in both chocolate and vanilla flavors for children who have milk allergies for $1.00.
