Dear Parents:

We would like to inform you of this wonderful opportunity for our families that may need scholarship assistance with the cost of preschool for their children. Michael Houlik, pastor of St. Mary Magdalene in Heatherwood, contacted me about providing this information in our newsletter and through our e-mail distribution list.   Our initial attempt is to find out if this will meet a need in our community. Research shows that children entering kindergarten receive social and academic benefits from attending preschool. We would like to thank Michael and Kathy Butler at Gunbarrel Preschool for this opportunity to help our community. Working in partnership to help support our entire community is one of the BVSD strategic goals.  

Gunbarrel Preschool and St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church would like to make attending preschool a possibility for some children who ordinarily would not be able to afford it. If you have a three or four year old child who could benefit from a part-time preschool, please contact us or come by for a visit.   We're located at 4775 Cambridge Street in Heatherwood.   The children need to be three or four years old and toilet trained.   If you¹re interested in knowing more, please contact Michael Houlik at 303-530-1421, or Kathy Butler at 303-530-4441.

Gunbarrel Preschool is open Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and has an open door policy, you may come and visit anytime during those hours.   This is a part-time preschool, some children come Mondays and Wednesdays, others come Tuesdays and Thursdays, some in the morning and some in the afternoon. Gunbarrel Preschool is not a child care facility.

We hope this joint partnership will benefit our community.
