Attendance is expected at rehearsals and performances unless students are absent from school due to illness or family obligations. If an absence is necessary, please call the school and leave a message on Ms. Unruh's voice mail (X254) so that the absence will be excused. Fifth Grade Flames are a select group of singers from Hotshots that will rehearse on Thursdays during lunch recess. Fifth grade Hotshots who are interested can sign up for Flames in the music room. Please note that Flames do wear a different color shirt than the Hotshots, so last year's shirt will not work. Please be ready to make a commitment to rehearse during lunch recess if you want to be a part of this select group. Section Leaders will also be selected from the Fifth Grade Hotshots. Ms. Unruh will discuss the qualities of leadership, responsibility, and trust that are necessary to become a Section Leader. The cost for the year for Hotshots is $15.00 which covers your t-shirt, a folder and all music purchased for our concerts and our Spring Music Show. Scholarships are available to cover the fee if necessary. Please return your t-shirt order form with cash or a check made payable to Heatherwood Elementary. Indicate 'CHOIR FEE' on the check. Ms. Unruh needs t-shirt order forms by Friday, September 28.
