Second Grade Poems

Carole Bieshaar worked with the classes by reading poems that appeal to children and then having the children write in the styles of certain poets.

Marj Hahne provided the children with excerpts from well-known poets' works and had them write their own poems using the words in the fragments to make "excerpt-acrostics.”
