High Peaks is a focus school in the Boulder Valley School District that is based on the Core Knowledge curriculum.  The Core Knowledge curriculum spirals in a framework that encompasses many facets of social studies and science, with the end result of deeper understandings.  For math instruction, we use the EveryDay Math program which also spirals the curriculum throughout the grade levels. EveryDay Math presents key concepts in different ways for all styles of learners and results in solid skill development.  We combine this with an excellent balanced literacy program.  The end result is a strong academic program that we are extremely proud of.

Open Enrollment for the 2008-09 school year will begin November 26, 2007 and will close promptly at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 18, 2008. Applications will be available on November 26th at every school in the district, in the Open Enrollment Office, or can be downloaded.
