ED Team and Committees
The ED Team
The ED Team serves as the policy making body for High Peaks, addresses school-wide issues, monitors and coordinates the efforts of standing committees in order to achieve the overall goals of High Peaks, gives final approval to school goals and budget. The ED Team is comprised of 11 Board Members including the principal, 5 faculty members of High Peaks and 5 parents or guardians of High Peaks Elementary students.
The ED team holds monthly meetings, except in July. The October and April meetings are preceded by the bi-annual High Peaks Community Meetings.
ED Team Meeting Schedule
Everyone in the High Peaks community is encouraged to attend the ED team meetings 3:15-4:15 pm in the library except where noted.
The last ED team meeting this school year is May 13th.

Committees
The following committees are standing committees of the High Peaks Educational Group:
- Action Team
- Shared Building
- Goals & Accountability
- Finance (Includes Grant Writing and Fundraising)
- Curriculum - The Curriculum is charged with evaluating and providing input regarding the curriculum and educational resources used at High Peaks.
- Challenge - The Challenge Team is charged with evaluating, developing and guiding talented and gifted programs and finding resources for enriching the Core Knowledge program.
- Spirit - The Spirit Committee is charged with developing and implementing programs and activities to foster a sense of community at High Peaks and coordinating volunteer efforts to support school activities.
- Publications & Publicity - Oversees all High Peaks Publications and Website.
- Includes Open Enrollment - Coordinates all open enrollment events.
- Technology - Develops, implements and revises the school-wide technology plan and also makes recommendations regarding technology acquisitions for the building.
Membership in each standing committee is open to all members of HPEG. Each committee is chaired by either a parent or teacher.
