Music Focus

Music focus students perform, understand, describe, and create music in both individual and ensemble settings. Students develop their musicianship through performance, composition, analysis, improvisation and research. Classroom seminars explore aesthetics, history and ethnomusicology. In addition, small group lessons with mentors, festivals, field trips, and use of the electronic music lab are a part of the curriculum. Music focus is taken along with either choir, orchestra or band.
