Announcements

State Cross Country Meet Postponed

The Colorado State Cross Country meet has been postponed due to the weather. The meet will now be held on:

Saturday, November 7th, at Fossil Ridge High School

The schedule remains as follows:

Cross Country Banquet

Please join us for the Cross Country Banquet:

Wednesday, November 4th
6:30-9:00ish
MHS cafeteria

* Charge $3/person or whatever is comfortable for your family- payable at the door (covers desserts, salads, and any other costs associated with the banquet).

Parents please bring a main dish to feed 8-10 people. Coach Olsen's catering class will provide desserts and salads.

2009 Cross Country Season

Schedule for the week

We will have a post team meeting on Monday at the normal practice time. If your season is over, please bring your clean, folded uniform and warm-ups in a bag with your name on it to the meeting.

Wednesday	Practice	3:15pm	Harper Lake	Meet out back of the school by the basketball courts. We will need some parents to help drive kids up to Harper Lake. We will leave the school at about 3:20 and return around 4:45-5:00.

Each week we will need drivers on Wednesday to help us get to our workout location. We usually run at Harper Lake or Davidson Mesa (both are on McCaslin Boulevard across the street from each other). If you would like to help, please be at the school ready to go at 3:20pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact coach at MoHiXcCoach.

Practices

The first official practice of the season is:

August 17, 2009, at 7:00am.

We will meet at the flag pole in front of the high school.

Practices Tuesday thru Friday will be after school at 3:15pm and we will meet out back by the basketball courts.

Registration

The official start of the season is August 17, 2009. Please make sure you are registered for Cross Country before the start of official practices on the 17th. You can register through the athletic office at school, M-F 8:30-12 and 1-3. You will need a current physical. You are not allowed to practice with the team after the 17th, unless you are registered!

Coyote Chase

It's time to get people registered for the Coyote Chase on August 29th. This is our big fundraiser for the upcoming Cross Country season and the more people who run the more money we raise! The coaches are challenging our team members to sign up as many people as possible for the race. There will be prizes to the athlete's that sign up the most runners for the race. Make sure you put your full name on the top of every entry form you hand out so you get credit for runners you sign up.

Race day registration begins at 7:00am and costs an additional $5.00.

Notice: All team members are required to run the Chase as it is our time trial to determine varsity for our first race, the Pat Patten Invite on September 4th.

Annual Formal Dinner

Bucca di Beppo, August 29, 2009, 4:30p.m. at Monarch High School

Hello MoHiXC team!

It's time for our annual Cross Country formal dinner! It will be Saturday, August 29th, at Buca di Beppo (our usual location). We will meet at the school at 4:30pm for pictures, so be sure to come dressed in formal attire (homecoming type attire). The cost is $25, so bring that with you too. It's a lot of fun and a great way to get to know your team.

Booster Club Fund Raiser

It is time for Booster Club's Fall Fundraiser and we are once again offering Tagawa Gardens' beautiful Wreaths and Poinsettias, along with this year's 3D Collectible Ornament, 6th in the series. Gift cards in $25 and $50 denominations to Tagawa Gardens are also available for purchase. All of the available items are shown and described in the following brochures.
