Chess Club at Monarch K-8 has forty students participating ranging from 1st graders through 8th graders. The Chess "Season" runs from 2nd Quarter through 3rd Quarter (November to March).
Students range in ability level from beginners to tournament caliber players. During Chess Club, players play a variety of different students. There will be periodic Round Robin Tournaments where players play 5-6 different players and receive 1 point for matches won and 1/2 point for matches drawn (tied).
