Garden Club

Faculty Sponsors: Mrs. Nancy Boscheinen, Science Teacher

Meeting Times: Members meet during their lunch time, enjoy their sack lunch outdoors or in the science classroom, then spend the remainder of their lunch/recess time in the student garden outside of Room 623.

Membership: Monarch’s Garden Club is open to any sixth grade student.

Meeting dates: September to November and April to June

Examples of past student projects:

o constructed the Monarch K-8 Entry Sign Planter, filled it with soil and planted bulbs and flowers
o planted trees, fruit trees, bulbs, perennial flowers, rose bushes, annual flowers and seeds
o mulched the garden areas
o laid donated flagstones
o ate the strawberries in late spring
o carved the pumpkins grown in October
o ate the pies that the teacher made from the pumpkins
