Health Education at Monarch K-8 is a required semester class in both 7th and 8th grades. The goal of these classes is to pass on factual information, discuss current findings in the Health field and more importantly to give students the skills needed to make healthy choices throughout their lives. Part of the semester is devoted to keyboarding. Our units of study include stress management, nutrition, fitness, drug education, sexuality, violence prevention, careers in health, living skills, harassment issues, and decision making.
