Both of these courses are a semester long.

CREATIVE WRITING

Students will read models of outstanding poetry and prose. They will be given an opportunity to develop their own unique writing style and will write poetry, stories, and plays. Local writers will be invited to share their experiences with students.

ACCELERATED READING

This course is designed for students reading at or above grade level. The course provides the opportunity for systematic silent reading. Students choose reading material for interest, information and pleasure. The course focuses on reading for enrichment.
