Monarch K-8 Library (IMC)

The library at Monarch K-8 is a beautiful modern facility. The technical name for the the library is the IMC which stands for Instructional Media Center. The IMC name is to help reflect the variety of tools and equipment that are available for use and checkout. The IMC features an elementary and secondary section. In addition books are available from Monarch High School for research papers. A full computer lab with ethernet connections to the Internet compliment the research materials available in the IMC. Daily video announcements are broadcast to the entire school from the IMC. Mr. Tuttle is the school librarian.. The IMC opens up to the enclosed courtyard so students may read outside during nice weather. Each day Mr. Tuttle reads to an elementary class, before they have their book check-out time. Mr. Tuttle and Mrs. Lafoley the IMC para-pro truly make the library a pleasant and inviting place to work and relax.

This is a view from the top of the school down into the courtyard. Notice the nice tables provided by our PTO. Students may eat lunch in the courtyard when the weather is nice. Classes sometimes use the courtyard as a place to do classwork.
