SIXTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST

All supplies should be labeled in permanent marker with student’s first and last name
BEFORE bringing them to school!

• 1 Large Accordion Folder (plastic, opens at the top and has different compartments)
• 2 Small three-ring binders-- (PLEASE: 1.5-2 inches wide!) for science and math class
• 2 Packages of dividers (with 5 in package) to help in organizing the science and math notebooks
• 5 Three-prong, 2 pocket folders (the paper or plastic kind- one folder needs to be yellow for LA - one will be used in social studies, the others will be used throughout the year.
• 1 Blank “Mead” composition book (the old-fashioned black and white STITCHED/ BOUND variety) OR a BOUND blank book for Language Arts- this will be your “Writer’s Notebook” and will go through quite the beating so it needs to be sturdy!
• 1 Package of graph paper (for math & science class)
• 200 Sheets of lined loose-leaf notebook paper (wide or college ruled)
• 10 Pens: BLUE and BLACK for regular writing, RED for self editing and for math class (no metallic gel pens, please!)
• 20+ Pencils-sharpened
• 2 Highlighters (2 different colors)
• 1 Package Colored pencils

• ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOK- The organization work we do at 6th grade really benefits from everyone working with the same planner

• A few additional items may be requested by individual teachers during the first week of school and throughout the year-- WE STRONGLY SUGGEST A PLANNED “RE-STOCKING” AT THE BEGINNING OF SECOND SEMESTER!

6TH GRADE OPTIONAL LIST

Useful information for you:  You will be assigned a locker the first day of school... locker “decorating and set-up” will happen on the second day.  Four of the sections in your accordion folder should be labeled for Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies, Homework, and Blank Paper.  The other sections will be labeled later.  Go ahead and get organized now!

NOTE: Backpacks with wheels do not fit into lockers!

 LOCKER SPACE IS LIMITED.  Please do not purchase trapper keepers or thick binders as the lockers cannot accommodate books and multiple large binders.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
SUPPLY LIST FOR 6TH, 7TH & 8TH GRADE


THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES ARE REQUIRED ON DAY TWO OF THE TRIMESTER.

 

P.E. CLOTHING REQUIRED:

Shorts or sweat pants- must be black, white, grey, purple or silver.  Strips or logo is okay (NO JEANS)

T-shirt- must be black, white, grey, purple or silver.  Logos are okayTennis Shoes (same as student wears to school is fine)

**Students cannot wear flip flops, crocs or shoes without proper support due to safety issues

Combination Lock.  Please get a basic circular lock; (NO KEY LOCKS)

5.  Deodorant-Please do not get body spray (Axe or Tag)
