Welcome to Third Grade

 *Updated February 9, 2012*

TCAP testing for third graders starts next Monday, February 13th.  Students will participate in 60 minute testing sessions next Monday and Tuesday mornings.  Hooray TCAP! 

Valentine's Day festivities will be held in classrooms the afternoon of the 14th.  Students are welcome to bring valentines as long as they bring one for all students in their class.   

The third grade norms which were sent home by e-mail, and are also available as part of February homework, are listed below.  We'll keep them on the website for the duration of the year.

Third Grade Norms

Being C.H.I.P. Outside & During Transitions

1. When little things hurt my feelings I will talk directly to the person and will use “I” messages. (I feel . . . ; I am feeling . . . )

2. Be honest with your peers.

3. Be nice to your peers – don’t tease (names, faces, notes, whispering).
