 What's New/Cool:

Conferences are for parents who wish to meet one-on-one with teachers. Students are encouraged to come with their parent(s). Our conferences run from 4:00-7:30pm and are by appointment/sign-up only.
September 22nd, Monday (last name A-F)
September 23rd, Tuesday (last name G-M)
October 1st, Wednesday (last name N-Z)
We are using PTC WIZARD to schedule conferences again this year. lick here to access the system:  https://bvsd-casey.ptcwizard.com/authenticate/logout/?redirect=user
If you are using the system for the first time, you can easily set up a new account. If you used the system last semester, enter your email and password to get started. IF your password does not work, try using ‘abc123’ as the password – without the quotes J Some conferences were pre-scheduled for struggling students who do not have internet access at home. lease do not schedule conferences back-to-back. You will need time in-between to walk to your child’s different classrooms. Try to schedule conferences on your designated night, but if you need to schedule on another night, that’s okay. PTC WIZARD is hopefully easy to use, but if you need help, please give Deb a call at 720) 561-2708.
Intramural Flag Football Culminating Event will be on Friday, September 19th at Summit Middle School starting at 4PM.

Inramural Volleyball Culminating Event will be on on Friday, Septembr 19th here at CASEY at 4PM.

Tuesday 9/18-Welcome to Middle School for 6th graders and parents 6:30pm-8pm.

Casey Parent Fast Pass! We know that sometimes your student needs a little extra help to their locker, or to drop of instruments in the Band room. Be sure to always enter the building through the main office and grab a Casey Parent Fast Pass badge to wear! By having all the adults in our building wear a badge we can better ensure the safety of our students. Thank you for your cooperation!

Casey Community Learning Center after school clubs and classes are beginning this week! We are excited to continue many of our favorite after school clubs such as Bike Club, Technovation and Writers' Workshop. New this year is PIE Club (Problem Solvers, Innovators and Entrepreneurs'!) and Rocket Building for all levels! All CLC clubs and classes are brought to you FREE of charge thanks to the 21st Century Community Learning Center GrantRegister Now!

More from Lifetouch Didn't get your order form in before picture day? We still have order forms for pictures if you'd like to get your order in.  Individual portraits  and the 8th grade panoramic picture are also available to order.  You may turn in your order forms to the front office.

Please come for fun for the whole family on Saturday, August 16th from 3-5pm at North Boulder Park. Please bring lawn games and snacks!
In conjunction with the Casey Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Questions: contact Daisy at 303-543-7935
or boulderdaisy@gmail.com

Do you buy groceries at Whole Foods, King Soopers, Safeway, Lucky’s Market or Vitamin Cottage?  Do you shop at Liquor Mart?  Casey PTA has gift cards for all of these stores in inventory.  At no extra cost to you, you can purchase the cards and each store gives Casey PTA a rebate.  It’s the easiest way to help support Casey PTA.  King Soopers, Safeway and Lucky’s are all reloadable at the store, so every time you shop, you are supporting Casey PTA.  Contact Ginny Bank (ginny.bank@gmail.com) to get your cards!  And don’t forget Casey’s Scrip program. We will be doing two more orders in the last quarter. One will be in late April and another in late May.

 What's Cool:

Casey Middle School NOW ACCEPTS PAYMENTS ONLINE We are excited to announce that parents can now pay school 'optional purchases' (yearbook, planner, PE uniforms) online through our new Casey Middle School Web Store! (School FEES , like Science and Art class fees, will be available after September 15). Payments will be processed on a secure site powered by RevTrak. Click here to access the Web Store: https://caseymiddle.revtrak.net/tek9.asp
Additional information is available here:  English    Español
Pre Arranged Absences
Casey students who are aware of an absence that will extend more than two school days must complete a Pre Arranged Absence Form. Forms may be picked up from the Assistant Principal and must be completed prior to the absence in order to be excused.
Casey’s easiest fundraiser has gotten even better! We have grocery cards for King Soopers, Whole Foods and Safeway (all reloadable), Lucky’s and Vitamin Cottage. In addition, we also have retail cards for dozens of local restaurants and retailers through our new Scrip program. Simply purchase the cards and the company gives back 3-14% to Casey PTA.
Last spring, the Scrip program raised close to $500 for Casey PTA with only 9 families participating. It’s easy to join, and the retail list includes many favorites like Home Depot, Starbucks, Chipotle Grill, Sprouts Market and California Pizza Kitchen. For a list of local retailers and information on how to get started, go to SCRIPS.pdf
We place a scrip order on the 20th of every month. Grocery cards are always available. Contact ginny.bank@gmail.com for more information on Scrip or Grocery Cards.
This program sponsored is by Longmont Dairy and helps students earn money for their school. Longmont Dairy milk caps are worth 5¢ each and are redeemable for cash by participating schools only. Participating is easy as 1-2-3:
1. Drink Longmont Dairy milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, half & half, whipping cream, orange juice, lemonade, raspberry lemonade, classic and cinnamon eggnog.
2. Save caps – and collect them from friends and neighbors.
3. Deposit caps in the collection box in Casey’s front office.

Casey Middle School was built to the highest LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, and is one of only two middle schools nationwide to receive LEED Platinum status.  Key features include geothermal heating and cooling, maximum energy efficiency, material reuse and daylighting, solar photovoltaic shaded bike parking and a green roof.
