Eisenhower Jump Rope Club
Jump Rope Club is open to all Eisenhower Elementary students grades K-5, beginner to advanced. It is designed to increase cardiovascular endurance, improve coordination and agility, meet friends, have fun, start the day off invigorated, and learn to be a great rope skipper!
Jump Rope Club will meet most Wednesday mornings from 7:45 to 8:30 am, in the gym starting on Wednesday, September 23rd and ending on Wednesday, March 17th. There are no financial costs to participate in Jump Rope Club.
Jump Ropes are provided for all students. If students wish, they can purchase their own ropes. ($4.00 for short handle and $7.00 for long handle.)
Please do not drop off your child before 7:45 a.m. as there is no adult supervision before this time. Students wishing to participate must fill out the permission slip below and return it to Mrs. Leahy or Mr. Neitenbach before they may participate.

Mighty Ike Skippers Jump Rope Team
This class is designed for jumpers who are a little more serious about jump rope and are looking to learn harder tricks, put together routines and perhaps compete. Participants will go beyond the trick levels of the Wednesday morning jump rope club. They will get more individualized instruction in single rope, Double Dutch and Chinese Wheel skills, as well as learn about the competitive events of jump rope. (Please note a fee is required to rent the gym, cover insurance costs, and pay advanced instructors. The goal is 1 instructor for 10 jumpers.)
First Session Information:
Time: 3:15 to 4:15
Dates: Thursdays November 12, 19, December 3, 10, January 14, 21, 28, February 11
Place: Eisenhower Gym
Cost: $45 plus you must join AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) for insurance ($12)
Taught by Skip It, Megan Leahy and teammates if necessary.
Must have at least ten jumpers for the class to run.
