Ike for Education Direct Appeal

 

The Eisenhower Elementary PTA is holding its annual Ike for Education direct appeal campaign during the month of November.  Recently when the district suffered budget cuts, Eisenhower had to cut funding for extracurricular programs, such as Student Council, Choir, Art Club, Jump Rope Club, Yo Yo Club, Intramural Sports, Flag Football and Chess Club.  It is the PTA’s intention to dedicate the funds raised during Ike for Education month directly toward these programs.

 

The fundraising goal for Ike for Education month is $15,000. Please feel free to donate whatever amount you choose – even $5 can make a big difference.

 

What is a direct appeal campaign?

 

  • This is your family's chance to give directly to the school through the PTA.
  • Your donations are gratefully accepted any time.  All funds raised in November will go to extracurricular and classroom programs.
  • Your donation is tax deductible.
  • Ike for Education is the type of fundraising campaign where families can participate at their comfort levels -- and anonymously.
  • Eisenhower PTA will gratefully accept ANY amount!

 

Two easy ways to donate – pick what’s easiest for you!

 

  1. Write a check to Eisenhower PTAand take it to Eisenhower front office.
  2. Log onto Ike’s website at www.bvsd.org/schools/eisenhower where a PayPal link has been added for a convenient donation process.

 

Why is your donation so important?

 

  • Teachers spend a great deal of time before and after school supervising programs that ensure our children have enriching, meaningful experiences beyond the core curriculum.
  • Many teachers depend on this additional income as a supplement to their salaries. The school simply cannot continue these programs without the funds that were cut from the school budget. 
  • The vast majority of our children participate in at least one, if not more, of these activities and they gain many valuable lessons from their involvement – not to mention the camaraderie and fun they have as well!
