Age of Guinevere is the newest choir at Fairview High School, created in 2007 by director Janice Vlachos, after several seniors expressed a desire to sing in a women’s jazz choir. Now part of the regular accredited curriculum, rehearsing five hours a week, Age of Guinevere is one of eight performing choral groups at Fairview.
This is a small elite choir composed of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each of the members of Age of Guinevere also participates in one of the traditional choirs offered at Fairview. Throughout the year, Age of Guinevere performs in four school choral concerts, at the CHSAA and UNC Jazz Festivals, at the South Boulder Area Festival, during Fairview’s Evening of Open Enrollment, and in Fairview’s Pop Show.
