Welcome to LA11: American Literature and Composition!

This year we will work to prepare you for your senior Language Arts classes as well as for your future reading and writing endeavors after high school.  The ultimate goal for this class is to expose students to a variety of American literature and build on reading and writing strategies that aid understanding, fluency, and critical thinking. We will also work to develop your discussion and creative writing skills in attempt to improve your overall writing, enjoyment, and understanding of various types of literature.

Important Information for Absent StudentsUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
If you are ever absent, be sure to check the calendar and the documents folder for information about what you missed, upcoming assignments, and homework due dates.  YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU MISSED.

If I can, I will post electronic copies of the work we do in class.  It is imperative you stay as close to on track as possible, for this class moves quickly, and it is hard to catch up once you fall behind.

After checking the calendar and documents folder, and communicating with classmates, contact me if you have further questions or concerns.
Catcher In the Rye DocumentsUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
